Welcoming Two Members of the CHAT Team: Troy Duker & Katy Casey

At CHAT, our mission is powered by the people who show up every day with passion and a commitment to improving children’s access to high-quality, comprehensive health care.  We’re happy to introduce two new team members whose experience will enhance our impact on children’s hospitals and the lifesaving care they provide to children across Texas: Senior Policy Coordinator Troy Duker and Office Manager Katy Casey.

Meet Troy Duker

Troy has spent much of his career in hospital advocacy, helping children and their families access quality, affordable healthcare services.

Most recently, he served as the Director of Government Affairs for the Hospital Association of Oregon, where he secured critical state resources to relieve hospital discharge barriers and helped defeat legislation that would have had a negative impact on children’s hospitals. His experience also includes leading government affairs for the Oregon Early Learning Division and serving as Chief of Staff to an Oregon state senator.

When he’s not advocating for children’s hospitals, Troy enjoys camping, fishing, and hiking.
