The Children’s Hospital Association of Texas announced today that Stacy E. Wilson will retire from her position as president effective July 31, 2025. Wilson will remain engaged with CHAT in an advisory capacity after that date. The CHAT board has begun a national search for a new president.
“Stacy has been an exceptional leader during her tenure as president of CHAT. Her leadership and guidance for nearly a decade have benefitted children’s hospitals across Texas and, by extension, the thousands of children and youth that these hospitals treat every year,” said Eric Hamon, CHAT board chair. “Stacy leaves CHAT with a strong foundation which we can build upon to protect children’s hospitals so that they can continue to provide life-saving services to children. We are pleased Stacy will stay on in an advisory capacity.”
“I am proud of the many successes CHAT has had during my tenure, especially the work to ensure that our member hospitals have adequate Medicaid funding. Without it, lifesaving care becomes unavailable for so many children,” Wilson said. “Some of the best children’s hospitals in the nation are in Texas, and Texans should be proud of that fact. I plan to stay involved in children’s hospital issues because I deeply value the work that each hospital does every day to improve the lives of children and their families.”
